Workshop Fabrication

Fabrication follows documented Quality Assurance procedures and complies with ISO 9001.

Freshly cleaned, cut and drilled bars are transferred from the automated workshop through to the plating and welding workshop.

Fittings follow a similar route and are checked, grouped and laid out to match drawings and parts lists - ready for the Plater to assemble.

The skilled Plater interprets detailed drawings to accurately attach fittings and components to the main bar, forming a complete Assembly. Before final welding, bar length, hole placements and fitting positions are carefully verified.

MAG welding is carried out by skilled operatives to BS 3834, then quality checked and tested to meet specification. Welders are certified to BS EN ISO 9606-1, and welding procedures conform to BS EN ISO 15609-1. Weld testing is performed independently to ensure the highest quality.

Local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems and air-fed apparatus remove source fumes to protect operatives and environment.

Our workshop is certified with a Factory Production Control (FPC) system, allowing us to apply the UKCA mark on fabricated steelwork across all Execution Classes—from EXC1 (lowest requirements) to EXC4 (highest standards).

Environmental management in our fabrication facilities is audited in accordance with ISO 14001.

A safe working environment is maintained to occupational health and safety standard ISO 45001.
