Services: Surface Treatments
Materials are shot-blasted to SA2.5 in-house, in compliance with BS 7079 standards.
Steelwork is painted in our dedicated paint shop according to BS 5493 and the Engineer’s specifications, using industry-leading materials to ensure a cost- and time-efficient solution.
Coating thickness is tested in line with our ISO 9001 quality procedures.
Our paint application process is regularly reviewed by the paint manufacturer to maintain quality and consistency.
On-site painting of installation and transit damage is completed by our approved contractors.
The majority of our steelwork is painted in light grey or white, using Sherwin Williams Macropoxy C400V3 Zinc Phosphate Primer/Buildcoat to between 75 and 250 microns per coat, or Sherwin Williams M155 Matt Protective Finish to between 75 and 120 microns per coat.
Other specifications and/or colours can be accommodated upon request.
For enhanced protection and external steelwork, we offer a hot-dip galvanised finish to BS ISO 1461 standards, with coating thicknesses of 85 or 140 microns.
Fire protection is available with off-site intumescent coatings compliant with SCI P160. On-site painting of connections is completed by approved contractors, and full fire protection certification is provided.
