Materials are shot-blasted in-house to SA2.5 standard, compliant with BS 7079.
Steelwork is painted in our dedicated paint shop to BS 5493 and Engineer’s spec, using industry-leading coatings to deliver a cost and time-effective finish. Thickness is regularly tested to our ISO 9001 procedures. Our paint application process undergoes continuous review by the paint manufacturer to ensure consistent quality.
On-site painting for installation/transit damage is completed by approved contractors.
We've invested in a new shot-blaster, scheduled for installation in Autumn 2025.
Most of our steelwork is painted in grey or white, using Sherwin Williams Macropoxy C400V3 Zinc Phosphate Primer/Buildcoat applied between 75 & 250 microns per coat, or Sherwin Williams M155 Matt Protective Finish applied between 75 & 120 microns per coat. We can accommodate other specifications and colours upon request.
For enhanced durability and external applications, we offer hot-dip galvanising to BS ISO 1461 standards, with coating thicknesses of 85 or 140 microns.
We also provide off-site intumescent fire protection coatings compliant with SCI P160. On-site painting of connections is carried out by approved contractors, and full fire protection certification is supplied.
