Future Investment
Investing in the future is vital for the success and ongoing growth of H. Young Structures Ltd.
With the addition of two CNC saw lines and a new CNC punching and cropping fitting line, we have enhanced our existing capabilities, positioning ourselves at the forefront of competitive steelwork fabrication.
We are proud to be training apprentices in both the office and on the shop floor - shaping our future workforce.
All processes, including drawing management, material control, production tracking, and delivery routing, are efficiently managed using latest StruMIS production control software.
The new fittings line plant allows us to efficiently punch and bevel cut flat bars into end plates and shaped fittings, process angle sections, and drill or saw straight or bevelled rolled sections—all using data generated by our Tekla 3D detailing system.
Our fittings line can handle up to 500x25 flat bars and 200x200x20 angle sections. Plates can be bevel cut to angles of up to +/- 60 degrees and can make multiple cuts to achieve the desired profiles.
The drill/saw line features three drills, enabling simultaneous drilling of holes in both flanges and webs. It can also bevel cut sections up to 45 degrees with the rotating saw. This is being replaced Autumn 2025 to the latest specification, along with a new blast-cleaning facility.
