Future Investment

At H. Young Structures Ltd, investing in innovation and growth is key to our continued success.

We’ve recently upgraded our capabilities with a new CNC punching and cropping fitting line, strengthening our position as leaders in steelwork fabrication. Further enhancements, including a new shot-blaster and the latest saw, drill and coping line, are scheduled for installation in Autumn 2025.

Committed to developing talent, we actively train apprentices both in the office and on the shop floor -building the skilled workforce of tomorrow.

Our operations, from drawing management and material control to production tracking and delivery routing, are streamlined using the latest StruMIS production control software, ensuring efficiency at every step.

Our new fittings line enables precise punching and bevel cutting of flat bars into end plates and custom-shaped fittings, along with processing angle sections and drilling or sawing straight or bevelled rolled sections. All operations are guided by data from our Tekla Structures 3D detailing system.

The line handles flat bars up to 500mm x 25mm and angle sections up to 200mm x 200mm x 20mm. Plates can be bevel cut to angles of up to ±60 degrees, with the capability to perform multiple cuts for complex profiles.

Our drill/saw line is equipped with three drills, allowing simultaneous drilling in both flanges and web. It also features a rotating saw capable of bevel cutting sections up to 45 degrees.
